Work and opportunities

Welcome to our recruitment section. By visiting this page you are indicating you are already interested in us which is great!

Scroll down for details about a series of Recruitment Days taking place throughout January 2019.

Rather than tell you about us (you can find that in other areas of our website) I will say what a fabulous time to be thinking of joining us.

At a time when we are growing significantly by opening Windermere Jetty as a world-class visitor attraction in a World Heritage Site, it is really important we recruit people with a passion and enthusiasm for what we do and what we want to achieve.

At Lakeland Arts, we come from all walks of life and backgrounds but we have one thing in common: connecting people with outstanding art and heritage in our breath-taking world-class cultural landscape.

More than this, you can expect to work in some of the most beautiful buildings, venues and locations throughout the county and you can expect to feel a real sense of pride in the job you do, every single day.

We have all sorts of roles available, if not now, as we move closer to opening Windermere Jetty so do click through and take a look and find out about all the exciting opportunities we have to offer and get involved.

Please remember our team are here to help. If you’d like to know more about working with us, or you’d like information about a specific job, feel free to get in touch by emailing jobs@lakelandarts.org.uk.

Important information:
As our buildings are still under construction please ensure you wear trousers and sturdy boots / shoes when visiting the site. Upon arrival we’ll register you and get you kitted out with personal protective equipment needed (hard hat and high-vis waistcoat). If you arrive in a skirt we can provide you with protective overalls.

Please let us know if you will be arriving in a wheelchair and require wheelchair access, or if you have any access requirements we can assist with.

Access will be limited to 15-20 people at any one time and will be controlled at the main gate so you may be asked to wait by our team for a short while outside until we can accommodate you.

Access to the open day will be via the main site pedestrian entrance located on Rayrigg Road. A member of staff will be at the gate to welcome you. There is currently no on-site parking but there is parking along Rayrigg Road and at the Bowness-on-Windermere car park in Rayrigg Road which is approximately a 5-10 minute walk away. Parking information here.

We look forward to meeting you.

We hope you find these sessions informative, but please note that attendance at a recruitment day doesn’t form part of the formal application process. You’re welcome to apply for any role through the usual application process without attending any recruitment day.
